The Needham Women's Club has approximately 70 members. Monthly meetings are generally on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm, and typically finish by 9:00 pm. This year, our meetings are held at the Charles River ARC Community Center. There are no meetings in June, July, August or December. Our meetings begin with a social time to mingle with fellow members, followed by a featured speaker or small service project. Board members and chairpersons deliver their reports on community service projects during the business portion of the meeting. A monthly informational newsletter is emailed prior to each meeting to provide information on upcoming events. Community service projects and fund raising are the main focus of the club, but social events (holiday party, end of the year dinner, etc.) allow members to socialize with new members and reconnect with current members. Membership is open to all Needham Women and does NOT require nomination. Prospective members attend a regular meeting as a guest or a new member informational session. All members are expected to actively support the club's projects by volunteering their time. Members are requested to serve on one committee and provide 10 volunteer hours per year. Once a woman decides she would like to be a member, an information form is completed and submitted to the Membership Chair with a check for the annual dues of $40, plus a new member fee of $10. Social event fees are in addition to the yearly dues. deleted dump day info.
