Volunteer and make a difference in our community
while satisfying community service requirements!!
There are many ways that students can perform community service through the Needham Women’s Club. Our organization has been approved for the community service program at Needham High School and may qualify for other local high school programs.
Below is a sample of NWC activities for the 2007/2008 calendar that a student may volunteer to assist with:
- Help at Special Olympics Day on September 8th from 9 – 1 p.m. at Memorial Field in connection with Charles River Arc
- Volunteer for the new Halloween event, by helping out prior to the event and/or at the event which will be held on Sunday, October 28th from 2 to 8 p.m.
- Help staff a table at Pizza with Santa and Frosty taking place on Saturday, December 1st or help with set up or clean up
- Help decorate a Charles River Arc home for the holidays
- Volunteer for the Santa’s Visit program
- Volunteer at the Holiday House Tour on Sunday December 2nd
- Read essays for the 5th Grade Essay Contest to be held in the spring
- Monthly baking for veterans
- Volunteer at the fall Harvest Fair and/or Spring Fair on the town common selling t-shirts
- Sell Power Cards at Sudbury Farms
- Volunteer at the spring dog show
